EMICODE® is a German indoor climate system, which on the basis of tests by, among others, The VOC emission makes it possible to compare and assess the impact of different building materials on the indoor climate in a building.

On the basis of an emission test report issued by an accredited laboratory, you can apply for a license to use the EMICODE mark on a product from GEV – Gemeinschaft Emissionskontrollierte Verlegewerkstoffe, Klebstoffe und Bauprodukte e.V

The system has 3 emission classes for low emission products, with EC1 PLUS being the best grade of the three.
